371. Edward FORTESCUE of Spridlestone (444) died in 1702. Edward planted elms in November 1677, to be sold in due time for the benefit of the poor in his parish at Brixton. He was churchwarden at that time. In 1819 sixteen of them were cut down for this purpose. His estates passed to his daughter Rebecca since his sons did not marry

He was married to Dorothy CROSSING (daughter of Richard CROSSING). Edward FORTESCUE of Spridlestone and Dorothy CROSSING had the following children:
