1109. Kathleen Mary (Kit) FORTESCUE ⁽⁹²³⁾ was born on 27 Mar 1885 in Woolley Lodge Farm, Woolley, Hunts. She died on 4 Feb 1934 in Little Irchester Lodge, Irchester, Northants. Present at death Florence Collins - Cousin Married Percy Reginald Thackray in Huntingdon and emigrated to Canada. Kate and Percy split up, and Kate, with daughter Joan, returned to the UK, where she was housekeeper to her cousin at Little Irchester Farm after his wife died. She died there.

Have copies of letters to Hugh in 1923 and 1924 which we sent to Joan Sigsworth in February 1999. It showed that she was homesick. Her husband had suffered shell shock in WW1.

She was married to Percy Reginald THACKRAY in 1900 in Woolley, Hunts. Percy Reginald THACKRAY was born in 1882 in Huntingdon. He died in 1956. Emigrated to Canada after World War 1. Left his wife Kit after they
had 6 children whilst she was visiting England. Kathleen Mary (Kit) FORTESCUE and Percy Reginald THACKRAY had the following children:

1280 iv. Hugh THACKRAY was born in 1909 in Stephenfield, Manitoba. He died in 1909 in Stephenfield, Manitoba. Died about 2 months after birth
