627. Matthew FORTESCUE 2nd Baron Fortescue^{(724) (725)(726)} was born on 31 Mar 1719. He signed a will on 9 Jul 1780. He died in 1785. He had an estate probated on 24 Jan 1786 in P.C.C. (Norfolk 17). 2nd Baron succeeded his brother Hugh 3 May 1751

He was married to Anne CAMPBELL of Stackpool Court, Pembrokeshire (daughter of John CAMPBELL of Stackpool Court, Pembrokeshire) on 8 Jul 1752.⁽⁷²⁷⁾ Anne CAMPBELL of Stackpool Court, Pembrokeshire ⁽⁷²⁸⁾ died on 26 May 1812.⁽⁷²⁹⁾ Also of Calder, Scotland. She was the second daughter. Matthew FORTESCUE 2nd Baron Fortescue and Anne CAMPBELL of Stackpool Court, Pembrokeshire had the following children:

725 iii. John FORTESCUE⁽⁷³⁰⁾ was born in 1755. He died in 1773. Died unmarried. Not in Visitations of the County of Devon but is in the text of Clermont. He gives Stemmata Fortescuana and Lodge Peerage of Ireland as references.
